Snorkeling Puerto Morelos

Head to the beach and catch the boat to one of the largest coral reefs in the world! Swim with turtles, lion fish, manta rays, sting rays, coral reef and fish of all types andcolors. Enjoy the sea breeze, relax on the boat and soak up some sun in this 2 1⁄2 houradventure. Cost is $30 per person.

Hike the botanical gardens

Just 5 minutes by taxi take a 3 km ride to the botanical gardens for a nice walk in theshade as you explore beautiful gardens, look for spider monkeys, discover rugged temple ruins, catch a lookout and cross a swinging bridge. It takes about 90 minutesfor this local adventure. The cost is $25, and includes transportation. Please note, tickets are bought at the entrance and are not provided by Casa Om. We will providethe transportation there.

Cenote Zapote

A Cenote is a natural pool of water resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater, creating the perfect exotic swimming pool. Come with us to Cenote Zapote where we will zipline into them and test our fears as we jump into the unknown. The Cenote is 25 minutes from Casa Om. Allow 3 1⁄2 hours for the complete adventure.

Akumal

Known for its sea turtles directly on the see in Akumal, it is a fantastic place for snorkeling. Go at your own pace, this beautiful slice of nature is the perfect setting those that want to snorkel just a bit and hang with friends a lot. Allow about 6 hours.The cost is $70 per person and includes transportation and snorkel equipment.

Minimum participants required are 5 people.

Whaleshark Swim

From mid-May to mid-September, this area has the privilege to receive
the biggestmigration of the mighty whale sharks.
The transportation will pick you up at Casa Om and take you to Punta Sam, where you will get on a boat that will take you in to the open waters, where sharks can befound.

(Pick up time between at 6:00 /7:00 am, and get back around 4:00/ 5:00 pm, theyinclude brunch, wetsuit & transportation) Cost is $170 per person.

Tulum Ruins

Two hours away south of Puerto Morelos is Tulum, which was one of the main ceremonial centers of the ancient Mayans. Today, the archeological site is one of themore visited locations of the Riviera Maya.
Its dramatic location and turquoise mythic waters will not disappoint any

expectations.
Cost: $70 USD per person.
Minimum participants required are 5 people, alternatively if there are 5 or less people,the price is $80 per person.

Chicen Itza

The Mayan city of Chichen Itza is the jewel of the archeological sites in the Yucatanpeninsula.
Considered one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza’s more

famous landmark is the main pyramid call “El Castillo”
There is also a sacred Cenote on the site where ancient Mayans used to do sacrifices.It’s a 4 hours drive from Puerto Morelos, but visits can include a stop in the colonial town of Valladolid, where excellent Yucatecan food can be found. The excursion willtake a whole day, but this majestic site will not disappoint you. Cost is $110 USD perperson.

Ek Balam

Ek ́ Balam is one of the ancient, better and more recently restored Mayan cities in thearea. You can rent a bike to ride across the jungle, go on top of the main pyramid andvisit a refreshing Cenote full of geological formations and a very fun zipline.

It’s only a 2 hour drive from Puerto Morelos, and on the way you can

also visit thecolonial town of Valladolid. Cost is $110 USD per person.

Cobá

The Coba Archaeological Site is one of the most amazing Mayan ruins you will find inthe Yucatan Peninsula. This is a place you should visit when taking a vacation in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Coba's urban sprawl covered during its heyday (750 AD) a total area of about 40 square miles and is one of the Mayan cities built in the Peten style characteristic ofthe late Classic period. The cost is $70 per person. Minimum participants requiredare 5 people, alternatively if there are 5 or less people, the price is $80 per person
